For 2 reasons: 1st is the incredible unspoken  chemistry between these 2 people!

It’s ridiculous how these two can talk more with their eyes than with their mouths.

You know? Just mute their scenes and you’ll understand what I’m talking about!

               The other reason is the way Clark tells her that she is becoming like lex. *my heart*

He was so cold to her and all she did was try to help him 

 (with*completely* wrong methods)

Clark was visibly disappointed with her & She was so hurt by those words.

And it was the 1st time that we see Clark teaching her a lesson
